Ficar triste, todo mundo fica. Eu, talvez, seja mais propensa aos estados de melancolia , mas não chego a me alimentar da tristeza.

 

Os estados de baixa emocional são comuns à alma comum. Uma pessoa como eu, que é 'comunzinha' de tudo, mas busca o infinito, sonha com as estrelas, namora a Lua, idealiza um mundo melhor, mas vive presa neste mundo programado pela tradição vigente, vai ter momentos de declínio.

 

Aí você aparece borocoxô e todo mundo fica te olhando de 'rabo de olho' e perguntando o porquê daquilo. Raríssimos são os que simplesmente oferecem seu ombro, um abraço, o silêncio.

 

São poucos os que realmente se dispõem a ouvir um desabafo sem criticar ou fazer aquelas odiosas comparações com outras pessoas ou com a conjuntura mundial; "- Olha, tem gente que passa fome";"Tem coisa pior"; "Saia para espairecer"; "Você sabe que não pode ficar assim"; "Não fale isso" e muitas outras frases pré-fabricadas de quem se dispõe a ajudar.

 

Certa feita, vi triste uma pessoa que nem era muito chegada a mim. De intuição, abracei-a e logo senti, num dos meus ombros, a quentura das lágrimas. O abraço abriu a guarda para o choro, e pedi para que a pessoa xingasse, chorasse, reclamasse o quanto quisesse, porque eu estava lá para ouvir e 'ombrear'.

 

Hoje em dia, sempre que encontro tal pessoa, ela brinca dizendo que aquele foi o melhor alívio de sua vida. Prozac turbinado de ação instantânea. No dia em que ofereci o alento descobri, sem querer, a fórmula do consolo: SILÊNCIO+OMBRO +ABRAÇO=ALÍVIO.

 

Como sou imperfeita demais da conta e estou sempre barganhando com Deus, sonho com um momento assim: alguém que me conforte e não diga sempre as mesmas coisas, mas apenas ouça. Sou a típica egoísta: se fiz, quero também! Ora!

 

Quanto a sofrer, sofro mesmo, e daí? O sentimento aflora, eu choro porque sou sensível. Fica um pouco a tristeza, mas passa. Passa sem remédio, sem grito, sem briga. Será mesmo que eu sou estranha? Estranho, para mim, é fugir do que te frustra, porque ficará sempre mal resolvido.

 

Para a fuga, estão à disposição a bebida, as noites barulhentas, a comilança, as intermináveis reuniões da galera, que nada acrescentam à convivência nem ao espírito, as compras, os remédios da moda...

 

Eu me recolho no choro, não sei se é fuga, mas não tenho medo de chorar e sofrer. A melancolia me traz profundas reflexões, um auto-conhecimento extraordinário e me inspira na poesia. Este recolhimento melancólico-reflexivo impede, na maioria das vezes, que eu faça ou fale coisas das quais me arrependa depois.

 

Nesta época de Natal, para os 'não-programados', como eu, a 'barra pesa'. Choro, olho as estrelas, mas fico na excelente companhia daquele que aceita a minha pequenez, me compreende e me envolve em abraços de luz sem me julgar ou criticar, o dono da festa, Jesus.

Oração para não incomodar (André Luiz)

Senhor! Concede-me, por misericórdia, o dom de contentar-me com o que tenho, a fim de fazer o melhor que posso.

Ensina-me a executar uma tarefa de cada vez, no campo de minhas obrigações, para que eu não venha a estragar o valor do tempo.

Livra-me da precipitação e da insegurança, de modo que não busque aflições desnecessárias ante o futuro, nem me entregue à inutilidade no presente.

Dá-me a força de esperar com paciência a solução dos problemas que me digam respeito sem tumultuar o caminho dos que me cercam.

Ajuda-me a praticar o esquecimento de mim mesmo, auxiliando-me a fazer pelo menos um benefício aos outros, cada dia, sem contar isso a ninguém.

Se este ou aquele companheiro me aborrece, induze-me a olvidar o que se passou, sem dar conhecimento do assunto aos que me rodeiam.

Ensina-me a não condenar seja quem for e, quando algum apontamento injurioso ou alguma nota de crítica malévola vierem-me à cabeça, ampara-me a fim de que eu tenha recursos de dissipá-los em silêncio, no plano de meus esforços imanifestos.

Impele-me a calar toda queixa, em torno das provas e empecilhos da vida, para que eu não perturbe os que me compartilham a estrada.

Auxilia-me a conservar boa aparência tanto quanto o espírito isento de culpa, a falar com voz calma, a sustentar bons modos e a perder o hábito de impor minhas ideias ou de contradizer as dos outros sem necessidade.

E ajuda-me, Senhor, a viver na obediência aos meus deveres e compromissos, trabalhando e servindo, para não incomodar ninguém.

- Soube ó César, que desejavas informações acerca desse homem virtuoso que se chama Jesus, que o povo considera um profeta, e seus discípulos, o filho de Deus, criador do céu e da terra. Com efeito, César, todos os dias se ouvem contar dele coisas maravilhosas. Numa palavra, ele ressuscita os mortos e cura os enfermos. É um homem de estatura regular, em cuja fisionomia se reflete tal doçura e tal dignidade que a gente sente obrigado a amá-lo e temê-lo ao mesmo tempo.

A sua cabeleira tem até as orelhas, a cor das nozes maduras e, daí aos ombros tingem-se de um louro claro e brilhante; divide-se uma risca ao meio, à moda nazarena. A sua barba, da mesma cor da cabeleira, e encaracolada, não longa e também repartida ao meio. Os seus olhos severos têm o brilho de um raio de sol; ninguém o pode olhar em face. Quando ele acusa ou verbera, inspira o temor, mas logo se põe a chorar. Até nos rigores é afável e benévolo. Diz-se que nunca ninguém o viu rir, mas muitas vezes foi visto chorando. As suas mãos são belas como seus braços, toda gente acha sua conversação agradável e sedutora. Não é visto amiúde em público e, quando aparece, apresenta-se modestissimamente vestido. O seu porte é muito distinto. É belo. Sua mãe, aliás, é a mais bela das mulheres que já se viu neste país..

Se o queres conhecer, ó César, como uma vez me escreveste, repete a tua ordem e eu te o mandarei. Se bem que nunca houvesse estudado, esse homem conhece todas as ciências. Anda descalço e de cabeça descoberta. Muitos riem, quando ao longe o enxergam; desde que porém, se encontram face a face com ele, tremem e admiram-no.

Dizem os hebreus que nunca viram um homem semelhante, nem doutrinas iguais às suas. Muitos crêem que ele seja Deus, outros afirmam que é teu inimigo, ó César. Diz-se ainda que ele nunca desgostou ninguém, antes se esforça para fazer toda gente venturosa.

OBS 1: A descrição acima foi traduzida de uma carta de Públius Lentulus a César Augusto, Imperador de Roma. Públius Lentulus foi predecessor de Pôncio Pilatos como governador da Judéia, na época em que Jesus Cristo iniciou seu ministério. O texto original encontra-se na biblioteca do Vaticano. Comprovada sua autenticidade, tornou-se, fora da Bíblia, o documento mais importante sobre a pessoa de Jesus.

OBS 2: Sabemos também que após a crucificação de Cristo Públius Lentulus tornou-se seu seguidor e, juntamente com sua filha Lívia, levava a palavra de Deus aos povos da época.

In his last life, he was a medical doctor and researcher, in the early 20th century.  Today, Spiritists know the spirit author, André Luiz, as a magnificent messenger, teacher and friend, one who is greatly admired and honored for his literary contributions to the advancement in mankind's understanding of spirit matters.  From the moment his first book, "Nosso Lar" was published in Brazil, in 1944, after having been psychographed by the Brazilian, Spiritist medium, Francisco Candido Xavier, also known as Chico Xavier, André Luiz captured the hearts and minds of his readers.  "Nosso Lar" was the first in a series of novels that would literally catalyze the Spiritist movement, by awakening readers to the "tangibility", so to speak, of spirit life and of the interaction between the spiritual and material worlds. We could, perhaps, say that the study of Spiritism, as we know it in more recent years, would not be the same without the literary gifts presented by André Luiz and his loyal medium, Chico.

 

Faithful to the indispensable and solid foundation found in Allan Kardec's codification of Spiritism, the collection of novels from André Luiz, in reality  an amazing, non-fictional, first-hand account of the author's educational and transformational experiences in the spirit realm, literally bring to life the teachings of Spiritist philosophy, the revealing observations of Spiritist science, and the unequivocal operation and justice of the natural laws that regulate life.

Yet, that is the beauty of André's accounts.  We may know, for example, that God helps us in our troubles, or that we need to trust God's justice and wisdom.  André however, observes the literal "embodiment" of this true love and compassion, executed by his mentors and friends who consider themselves God's workers.  On top of all this, what André discovers along this journey and shares with his readers, include ideas and concepts that reveal the spiritual mechanisms behind physical phenomena that science is only now discovering !   Whether André is acquiring new scientific awareness or being taught important moral lessons, as readers, we feel like we are right there, learning along with him.  We get to read about the people, places, and events that make us see life in a whole new way.  Over time, the impact that all these experiences have on André, and the way they transform him is educational and inspiring. 

 

Despite the newness of ideas, and, in some cases, the complexity of concepts covered, André Luiz shares them with us in a language that is both comprehendible and captivating. In addition to the novels discussed here, André Luiz wrote several books with messages that both inspire superior thoughts and sentiments and guide our behaviors in the right direction.  The beloved Chico Xavier is no longer living among us here on Earth.  However, as Spiritists, and as people, in general, we will all benefit from the contributions that André has already made and from the fruit of his collaboration with Chico Xavier.
